year of revolution in England lead by Cromwell. John was the younger son of Malcolm Crawford of Kilbernie.

after receiving his "majority, he established his household with Mary Jane
Emmons.
He HOMESTEADED in
1870. He was a loyal Democrat and has
not missed an election since 1854. He
was a member of the Sons of Temperance.
