Washington D.C., Issue #110, p.110:
Robert Armstrong II lived
for sometime in Augusta County Virginia.
He was a lawyer and surveyor, served in the Revloutionary War under
Capts. George Moffett, James Trimble, and James Bell. In 1793 he sold holdings
of land in Greenbriar Counnty, moved there around 1782. In 1793, he sold
holdings, around 3,000 acres, and settled on a grant on Locust Creek (later
called Allison Creek) in that part of Mason County, Kentucky, which, in 1798,
was set off as Fleming County. He was active in public affairs, in 1798 was
appointed overseer of the road from Flemingsburg, Fleming County seat, to Myers
Ferry on Licking River. He died 1811 in his 88th year, in Fleming County, and
was buried a mile from his home in Brick Union Cemetery on Poplar Plains Road.

teacher in Perry Township, Gallia Co., Ohio, later an Associate Judge of the
Common Pleas Court, Gallia, Co., elected 1837. he and Mary are buried Patriot
Cemetery, Pewry Township, Gallia, Ohio. His tomb says: "We Shall Meet
Again," hers says: "We Have Met."
3] Robert and wife, Mary, moved in 1811 from Fleming,
co., Ky. to Gallia, Ohio where he was a teacher, associate judge and judge of
